**PURPOSE**

This position exists to assist the site manager to ensure the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Safety**

Maintain FAMP safety policy and procedure requirements Promote safety performance Conduct risk assessments Do planned task observations Conduct safety meetings Ensure team members wear PPE Investigate incidents/accidents

**Operations**

Maintain good housekeeping standards Rectify process deficiencies Ensures production targets are met Maintains quality standards Monitors plant performance to obtain optimum production Advise on requirements of process spares

**Managing the Team**

Assign work. Monitor performance Train and develop team members. Maintain discipline in the plant

**Administration**

Completes all reports regarding safety, production, personnel, quality control and maintenance Completes required ISO documents Complete incident/accident investigations Maintaining staff training records Ensure disciplinary records to be up to date

**QUALIFICATIONS**

Grade 12/N3 COMPSOC SAMTRAC or equivalent Diploma in Safety Management would be an advantage

**Expirience**

5 years experience in mining/construction as (Plant attendant/ Junior plant operator/ Plant operator)
