- Reporting to: Warehouse, Distribution and Stores Manager- Department: Stores/Supply Chain- Job Objective: To manage company's stores by ensuring the availability, reordering, safekeeping and release of raw materials and production supplies as and when needed. To carry out other ad hoc duties in the best interest of the department and entire business- Roles/Responsibilities:
- Supplies and Inventory Management:
- Maintains inventory of all items in the store- Ensures raw materials are available for production as and when due- Ensures that supply of inventory is times to avoid stock-outs whilst maintaining inventory within targets through min/max using SAP system- Takes daily stock level to monitor the reorder level of all raw materials and supplies in the store- Ensure that stock counting takes place on a perpetual bases and support finance during month-end stock count taking- Manages the proper arrangement of the store items and supplies for easy retrieval- Manages the release of production items to the plant- Recommends disposal of obsolete equipment/materials in the store- Completes spot audits to establish parts tracking procedures are being followed- Ensure that all transactions are timeously processes in SAP system- Tracking and reporting of KPI weekly, monthly and quarterly- Requisition Management:
- Facilitates the purchase of new items by creating purchase requests on behalf of user departments and forwards to procurement- Follows up with procurement to ensure timely supply of the items- Liaises with external suppliers for the delivery of products- Takes part in the receipt of supplies from contractors and ensure they are in line with specifications- Generates Goods Receipt Note for incoming and outgoing items- Record keeping and reporting:
- Maintains records of goods ordered and received- Manages the record keeping processes of all store items for accountability purposes- Coordinates the safekeeping of receipts, tenders, invoices, and ledgers for all store items- Maintains and updates Minimum-Maximum file- Responds to auditor's enquiries on any discrepancy discovered during periodic stock count- Creates and maintains Materials Master File for use across all areas of the company's business- Process all requisitions through SAP system timeously to ensure that the system is always reflecting accurate and correct quantities and values.- People Management:
- Supervises Stores Assistants, and ensures the quality of work meets with performance expectations- Assigns tasks and responsibilities to the Store Assistants to ensure effective workflow- Reviews/inspects work carried out by subordinates- Attend to all matters related to IR and HR- Develop and draw up training matrix according to development requirements for the stores team.-
**Inherent Requirements**
- Required Education:
- Minimum of a first degree or HND in Engineering or a related Science discipline / National Diploma in Logistics and supply chain management- Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry- Basic SAP proficiency is a requirement- Technical Competencies:
