**Purpose of the Job**
To process and negotiate claims in the Claims department.
**Job responsibilities (include but not limited to)**
Maintain Best Practices at all times.
Identify problems/contentious/large claims and report to Claims Manager
Identify potential E&O exposure and notification to Claims Manager
Ability to negotiate with 3rf PARTIES, Suppliers, Brokers, Insurance Market and Service Providers at all levels.
Identify bottle-necks and report to Claims Manager
Maintain accurate Claims Statistics and estimates on own
- and third-party claims at all times.
Provide Broker/Client with high level of service at all times.
Ensure Client Service Level Agreement and requirements, where applicable adhered too at all times.
Ensure copy of appropriate cover details and endorsements are placed in claim file.
All claims must be registered on the system within 48 working hours.
Request all relevant documentation promptly.
Appoint an assessor as per the service level agreement and mandate immediately prior to registration to prevent delays.
Notify underwriters immediately where applicable.
Keep the broker and all concerned advised of development at all times.
Constant involvement with broker and maintain a good relationship at all times.
Salvage to be disposed off as soon as possible to eliminate storage fees as per the accredited salvage contracts and the agreed mandate.
Copy of file on receipt of a third-party approach to PVW Inc. Attorneys immediate where applicable
Ensure accurate and timeous processing of payments.
Be mindful of all Aggregates, Funds and Floats
Claims in excess of R300,000.00 to be reported to the claims Manager.
All repudiated claims must be referred to the Claims Manger and handled according to best practice.
