Senior Executive Manager: IT DevOps

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Contribute to organisation’s objectives**
- Translating the Information Technology strategic medium to short term goals and objectives to align with the Business objectives
- Cascading the IT Strategic Plan down to the annual operating plan within Information Technology
- Develop and implement solutions which meet strategic objectives
- Manage costs effectively and according to budget
- Identify, calculate and manage IT risks affecting the organization.

**Service Delivery**
- Manage and appropriately escalate delivery impediments, risks, issues and changes associated with development initiatives
- Accountable for the monitoring of work assigned to technical personnel from the leads in the Business Analyst, Application Development and Data Warehouse teams ensuring delivery.
- Display technical leadership and oversight of implementation and deployment planning, system integration, ongoing data validation processes, quality assurance, delivery, operations, and sustainability of technical solutions
- Evaluates technological choices by querying providers and providing evaluations of each solution include ROI & ROV evaluations in the present and future implications, limitations, and opportunities
- Manage analysis and approval of new code through performance gates designed and developed for feature-complete software.
- Accountable for the management of operational aspects of production and development including monitoring solutions, deployment, conventions, access to the production and development sources, source control access and usage, performance monitoring, code modifications validation, scheduling
- Accountable for the management of accurate program estimates
- Provide process improvement recommendations based on best practices and industry standards
- Accountable for complex technical management coordination with multiple vendors and staff
- Accountable for the development of standards and processes for operations that proactively prevent problems from occurring

**Provide operational excellence**
- Propose and validate enabling solutions to improve productivity and efficiency
- Accountable for delivering IT projects according to user specifications and expectations
- Maintain efficient and effective operations in IT Development, Communications (Business Analysts) and Business Intelligence
- Accountable for the automation and formalization of IT processes
- Ensure maximum system uptime/availability as per SLA
- Reduce overall operational costs
- Accountable for successful and up to date data backup
- Accountable for secure, stable solutions
- Accountable for the development and implementation of solutions to improve productivity and efficiency
- Accountable for productivity and availability of the first line team
- Accountable for the monitoring and maintaining of IT systems
- Accountable for responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)

**Information Management**
- Accountable for the implementation, design and maintaining of the data ware house, data elements, dashboards and Adhoc reports that represent the company’s management information needs
- Accountable for the producing of scheduled recurring dashboards and reports
- Accountable for the data warehouse month end

**Manage People**
- Attract and retain suitably qualified employees
- Continuously train, mentor and develop IT staff
- Build climate of empowerment and responsibility
- Measure and reward performance
- Research emerging technologies

**Requirements**:
**Formal Education**:

- IT related degree/diploma
- Microsoft certification
- PMBOK
- Agile Certification
- Azure
- TOGAF 9

**Experience**:

- ±15 years IT DevOps experience
- ± 5 years Financial services industry experience
- 10 years Microsoft framework experience
- ± 10 years IT management experience
