Ict Technician

**Responsibilities**:

- Install, configure and maintain IT equipment and software, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Sage Evolution, Sophos Firewall, OPNSense Firewall, IP security cameras, printers, user computers running Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012 R2 servers with Hyper-V, Ubiquiti network devices making use of the Unifi Controller
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues and identify and resolve technical problems.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals and third-party partners and suppliers to ensure smooth and effective functioning of our IT systems.
- Manage and maintain Active directory user accounts and permissions and ensure that the systems are up to date with the latest security patches and upgrades.
- Monitor and maintain the performance of IT systems, including backups and disaster recovery procedures.
- Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, network infrastructure changes, and software installations.
- Maintain and support Ubiquiti network devices, including configuring access points, switches, routers, and VPNs using the Unifi Controller.
- Provide hardware support for desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals such as printers, scanners, signature pads, and projectors.
- Install and maintain network cabling, including copper and fibre optic cable, patch panels, and wall-boxes.

Ensure proper network labelling of all equipment, cables, and devices.

**Requirements**:

- At least 3 years of experience in IT support, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Sage Evolution, Sophos Firewall, OPNSense Firewall, IP security cameras, printers, user computers running Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012 R2 servers with Hyper-V, Active Directory, Ubiquiti network devices making use of the Unifi Controller, hardware support, network cabling, and network labelling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Strong customer service orientation.

**Salary**: R10,000.00 - R15,000.00 per month

- Kempton Park, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
