- The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for the day to day safe and efficient running of the mechanical workshop.
- The workshop supervisor had to work alongside with the staff in the workshop.
- Responsible for budgets for the purchase of materials, fixings and fastenings and tools to ensure the smooth progression of projects through the workshop.
- Responsible for the quality of work carried out and performs incoming and outgoing inspection on all parts and assemblies or delegates that work.
- Maintain safe working practises.
- Regularly report progress on each job and quickly communicate delays or concerns with the Logistical Manager and Branch Manager.
- Will be required to undertake manufacturing tasks and assist the through put of work through the workshop.
- Manage the planned maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Train staff and monitor their performance and progress.
- Oversee all workshop employees, including creating schedules, providing coaching and mentoring, and issuing corrective action when required.
- Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.
- Maintaining tools and machinery to a safe standard and in line with H & S Policy.
- Introducing new systems if and where needed.
- Control the attendance register.
- Follow company policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Professional technical qualification, mechanical, electrical and hydraulics’ will be of great advantage.
- Consideration will be given if you have a combination of mechanical skills and experience in a workshop.
- Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and workshop best practices.
- Ability to work with people at various levels from shop floor to senior management.
- People management skills and the ability to motivate others.
- Quality and productivity focused.
- Experience in the agricultural machinery industry will be of great benefit.
- Problem solving is a very important requirement.
