A rapidly expanding local and international accounting and consultancy firm is seeking to employ a vibrant and ambitious Bookkeeper at their offices in Somerset West.
This is a good role for someone with bookkeeping experience, preferably in a practice environment, wanting to gain further experience withing an accounting practice with ample opportunities to receive on the job training and the strong possibility for growth within the business.
Training will be provided on all required duties as listed below.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Bookkeeping up to trial balance.
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
- Assist with reconciliations.
- Payroll preparation.
- Statutory reporting.
- Requesting of financial documents.
- Updating financial records.
- Sorting and filing of financial records.
- Preparing reports.
- Client liaison.
- Client service delivery and query resolution.
- Oversee the onboarding of new clients.
- Updating and maintaining of existing client records.
- Correspond with clients re their accounts, balances and payments.
- Data capture and data collection.
- System updates.
- Scheduling meetings and managing calendars.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Matric with solid results.
- Diploma, degree, certificate in finance or related field will be advantageous.
- Bookkeeping or accounting experience in an accounting firm.
- Accounting administration related experience.
- Working experience on accounting software such as Xero, Sage, Pastel.
- Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook proficiency preferred.

- Ability to work in a team
**Remuneration**:
- R8,000 to R15,000 pm ctc, depending on qualification and experience.
