The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, and excellent communication to effectively engage with stakeholders across all levels of the business. Location: Somerset West, Western Cape, South Africa Overview We are seeking a qualified Bookkeeper to maintain financial records and support day-to-day bookkeeping activities in a high-demand logistics environment. Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and perform day-to-day bookkeeping functions. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Engage with stakeholders across all levels of the business as needed. Qualifications & Experience Senior Certificate (NQF 4). Computer literate (excellent MS Office, Excel, and Pastel package skills). Experience with multi-currencies (USD, ZMW, ZAR) is essential. Bookkeeping to trial balance as a minimum. Experience with both local and foreign cash books. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and organized. Ability to prioritize and multitask with tight deadlines. Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels (junior to executive). Requirements South African citizen. Code B driver's license and own transport. Residence in the Helderberg area (Western Cape) or nearby as an on-site role (not hybrid). Available immediately or with a short notice period is advantageous. Key Performance Indicators Preparation of monthly management reports. Preparing invoices and submitting to customers on time, including payment follow-ups. Handling accounts payable and receivable. Coordinating with auditors during annual audits. Treasury management including daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow planning. Maintaining data continuity between operational and finance systems. Mitigating any corrections after deadlines. Assisting with forecasting and budgeting and preparation of schedules. Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
