We are a well established company based in Durban (Congella/Umbilo). We manufacture industrial high pressure cleaning equipment.

We are looking for a strong, vibrant and enthusiastic person with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably from a manufacturing background, to join our stores team ASAP.

**Job description**

As a stock controller you will need to manage the maintaining, receiving and dispatching of stock, adhering to all internal policies and processes and ensuring no/mínimal stock variances/losses.

The job can be physical at times so we are looking for a person that is healthy / fit / strong.

**Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure proper stock levels are maintained and reorders are done timeously to ensure we don't have an over/under stock level situation
- Maintain accurate records manually on bin cards, job cards and and other records
- Process and file records
- Pick and pack stock for dispatch
- Pick and issue stock for repairs and manufacturing
- Liasise with couriers for booking of collections and tracing of shipments
- Inspect incoming deliveries for damages/discrepancies, following the correct channels for reporting.
- Receive, unload and shelve stock
- Perform other stock related duties including returning, packing, pricing and labelling of stock.
- Accurate daily / weekly / monthly cycle counts
- Assist with stock take preparations and participate in annual stock take
- Maintain Health and Safety policies and procedures for the department
- Perform any reasonable and lawful instruction as required by management
- Maintain equipment

**Qualifications, Skills and Expertise**:

- 3 years minimum in similar role
- Matric
- Knowledge of inventory management
- Familiar with standard concepts and best practices for stock control
- Analytical mind with excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to keep detailed records
- Computer literate - an advantage
- Drivers license - an advantage

**Remuneration & Benefits Package**:

- Salary linked to MEIBC (Grade E - R63.17ph - 40hrs/week, R2,526.80pw / R10,949pm)
- Annual bonus (leave enhancement pay) calculated according to MEIBC main agreement, linked to shifts worked

**Benefits after probation**:

- Medical aid with Discovery is compulsory (unless on existing medical aid) - company will pay half of any scheme you choose for you and your family
- Pension is with Liberty - the employee contributes 7% of monthly income and the company contributes 10%. This includes a life insurance policy and family funeral benefit

**Annual Leave**:

- 15 days for the first 4 years, 20 days from 5th year onwards
- The company shuts down over December/January - majority of annual leave must be taken during this period

**Salary**: R10,949.00 per month
