**VACANT POSITION: Senior Automation Teste**

**REPORTING TO**:Test Manager

**JOB PURPOSE**:
The Senior Automation Tester is responsible for building and maintaining test automation frameworks by following best practices and standards.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and strategy.
- Write, design, and execute automated tests by creating scripts.
- Maintain regression and smoke test scripts within an agreed timeframe with scrum team.
- Analyse the nightly regression and daily smoke test logs.
- Link manual test cases in Azure DevOps to automated test scripts in Visual Studio.
- Create and maintain automation test packs on Azure DevOps.
- Identify opportunities for scripting optimization. Document and maintain end-2-end automation testing process and procedures.
- Estimate test efforts accurately and coordinate with team members for work activities.
- Perform automation code peer reviews and documentation.
- Liaise with developers, product owners, business analysts and testers.
- Verify and revise automation quality standards as needed.
- Share automation knowledge and grow the test team’s technical competencies.

**KEY REQUIREMENTS**:

- Good understanding of STLC and Agile methodology.
- Good knowledge of Selenium suite of Tools (Selenium IDE, Selenium WebDriver, and Selenium Grid).
- Good knowledge of Element Locators, Inspecting Elements, and Selenium WebDriver API Commands or Methods.
- Needs to be comfortable using Azure DevOps and the CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C# and Java (Data Types, Variables, Operators, Flow Control Statements, Methods Exception handling, File Handling, Excel file Operations, DB Operations and OOPS concepts), C# Preferred Language.
- Comfortable and understand how to work with Visual Studio and version control e.g., Git, SVN, CVS.
- Good understanding of API testing.
- Solid understanding of testing frameworks with Selenium e.g., NUnit.
- Exposure to tools like Appium, Rorex, Test Complete etc.
- Good presentation and good communication skills.
- Attention to detail and able to identify test data requirements.
- Good time management.
- Able to work in a team with diverse roles.
- 7+ years relevant Automation experience.
- Software development background essential.

**QUALIFICATION(S)**:

- Relevant Degree / Diploma in IT or related field.
- Testing qualification ISTQB/ISEB preferred.
- Advanced Technical Testing qualification ISTQB (Optional).

**Salary**: Up to R750,000.00 per year
