**Sales Consultant Job Description: Primary Duties and Qualifications**
A successful Sales Consultant should be able to deliver certain duties and responsibilities aimed at making the business profitable. The main role involves promoting our Umsuka products within the Fidelity branches using strategies that maximize sales.
- Conduct site visits to demonstrate to potential clients the benefits of our products
- Establish and maintain healthy, long-term relationship with clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Discover customers’ needs and offer solutions to them through the company’s services or products.
- Establish sales potential with new businesses in our target area.
- Use promotional methods such as phone calls, cold calling and SMSes, to reach potential clients which in turn will increase market share and achieve sales target
- Determine new ways to make products appealing by observing the environment and current trends.
**Sales Consultant skills and qualifications**
- Above average communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent negotiation and persuasive skills for the purposes of closing deals
- Good networking skills and the ability to handle numerous site visits and customers
- Ability to work under pressure and devise sales strategies
- Ability to explain product features and benefits in a way that stands out over competing brands
- Passionate about selling and finding ways to satisfy customers’ needs
- Resilience and a willingness to work long hours
- Excellent organization and management capabilities, including being a team player
**Sales Consultant requirements**
- High school diploma
- Associate qualification in sales and marketing would be an advantage
- Knowledge of the financial services industry is a key requirement
- Must be computer literate
- Good organisational skills
- Proficiency in English and African languages
- Well groomed
- Drivers licence and own vehicle
