**The Role**
The purpose of the role is to translate business strategies into key messages, develop appropriate internal communications initiatives in support of those strategies, and to execute and drive programs that create excitement, drive engagement, align teams and shape culture. This includes event planning.
Support the OD & Comms head with work deliverables as and when required to support employee engagement, culture, communication and development.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Develop and implement a communication strategy that includes social media content creation specifically to build the company’s **employer brand** and **drive engagement with the company from a people perspective**.
- Support the creation of a best-in-class internal communications function by creating the infrastructure for communication, and educating line management on communication to fuels employee engagement, influences connectivity and culture, positively impacting all divisions and branches.
- Develop an annual internal communication content calendar
- Own the company corporate identity and all elements relating to this brand. Work in collaboration with the marketing team to ensure that the CI meets both internal and external needs.
- Develop communication materials using a variety of tactics (written communications, presentation materials, Online platforms, town halls, small group meetings, etc.) to articulate key messages.
- Plan, coordinate and execute internal employee events & functions in collaboration with Head of OD & comms
- Manage company intranet, ensuring that it is up-to-date, engaging, and informative.
- Create change communication plans and actively partner with project teams to drive adoption of changes through communication and engagement strategies
- Partner with marketing and IT teams to explore/ recommend new channels and technologies where possible
- Manage the Crisis Communication plan and ensure all mechanisms are prepared for execution
- Own the content library and ensure that stock images are available to support internal and external communication needs
- Publish videos and photography on company website and intranet to promote employer brand (career page, culture, leadership overviews)
- Implement metrics reports to measure effectiveness of internal communication channels and measures internal communications with the goal of continuously improving internal communications strategy to reach and engage employees.
- Ensure communication messaging and materials are high quality, accurate, appropriate and integrated with company priorities and themes.
- Work with marketing to publish timely company information onto relevant platforms (not marketing campaigns directly to market but items that require internal and external alignment or internal publishing). Partnership with marketing partners will be critical.
- Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the company’s policies, principles, and strategies, and keep up to date with relevant developments.
- Work with providers to procure communication collateral and/ or to manage development and publication of communication.
- Ensure that employee mailing groups and databases are up to date and appropriately structured to support communication needs.
- Supervise the graphic designer’s outputs and where required complete own desktop publishing and designs to support deliverables within deadlines.
- Brainstorm ideas and create conceptual designs to support the engagement of the workforce and ensure the messaging is received and acted upon.
