**Main purpose of the job**:
**Preferred Minimum Requirements**:
- Bachelor''s Degree/B-tech in Environmental or Safety Management (safety management preferred)
- SAMTRAC Diploma/SAMTECH Diploma or equivalent and ITIS Diploma.
- NEBOCH and Auditors Certificate and Assessors Course
- At least 5-7 years experience working in a manufacturing/production environment performing a similar role
- Must Have Own Reliable Transport
**Knowledge**:
- Education and Training Knowledge of principles and methods for teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
- Health/Safety/Environmental In-depth knowledge of legal requirements and standards of SA Health and Safety Act
- (Knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations)
- Engineering Knowledge of equipment, electrical standards and legal requirements.
- Building and Construction Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the safe construction of buildings, (legal requirements in regards of structures/buildings)
- Security Principles and Practices Risk Regulations (SABS codes of practices) Risk Principles and Practices, Environmental Regulations
**Skills**:
- Monitoring Monitoring/Assessing performance of other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Identifying Objects, Actions, and Events Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events. (understand engineering data or reports)
- Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards
- Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards (inspect facilities or equipment for regulatory compliance) (perform safety inspections in industrial, manufacturing or repair setting)
- Develop and lead the implementation of SHE Strategic Objectives
- Provision of SHE Policies and SHE Information
- Promotion of SHE awareness and development of SHE culture in the Group
- SHE Risk Management
- Provision of SHE Training
- SHE incident Management
- SHE Auditing
