**ROLE SUMMARY**:
Reddam House Atlantic Seaboard is hiring a Design Teacher to inspire, challenge, and nurture students from Grades 8 to 12, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking within a structured yet engaging learning environment. The role requires a teacher who can balance academic rigour with innovation, ensuring students reach their highest potential while developing their individual artistic voice.-
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and thought-provoking Design lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and academic standards.
- Foster an environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Set clear expectations for student learning and behaviour, providing regular assessment and constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments and exhibitions.
- Maintain high professional standards in all aspects of teaching, communication, and classroom management.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school’s creative arts programme.
- Attend school functions and special events as required.
- Ensure that the learning environment reflects the school’s ethos and values.

- Recognised teaching qualification and appropriate right to work in South Africa.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging, innovative, and inclusive lessons.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.

- Commitment to continuous professional growth and collaboration within a high-performing team.
- Previous experience teaching Grades 8-12 within a high-achieving school.
- Familiarity with the IEB curriculum or similar.
- Confidence in using technology and digital tools to enhance learning.
