Inventory Controller

**INVENTORY CONTROLLER**

**Position**: Inventory Controller

**Reporting to**: Inventory Supervisor

**Location**: Linbro park, Johannesburg

An exciting opportunity has become available in our warehouse for an Inventory Controller. This position requires a hardworking and dedicated individual.

**Key Job Functions**

**Inventory Control**
- Ensure inventory operational procedural compliance and effectiveness (SOP)
- Inventory SOPs for stock adjustments stock adjustments are adhered to.
- GSRs administered / put back into stock
- Ensure that WMS is up to date and current
- Plan, prepare and execute monthly stock takes and weekly cycle counts
- Periodic reporting
- Monthly stock take Variance
- Ensure inventory accuracy on all third-party partners
- Attend INVOCOM meetings
- Report on Quarantine warehouses and ensure monthly recon completed

**Operation KPI’s (For Main Warehouse)**
- Ensure that inventory operational KPI's are achieved
- Ensure timely and accurate data input and reporting
- Warehouse damages / stock disposal process
- Stock take reporting
- Stock variance / cycle count reports
- Stock risk report
- Stock damages and quarantine report
- Stock disposal record keeping
- Consumables Controls
- Documents Control
- Quality; related to Warehouse activities
- Company Values

**Third Party Storage (Transaction)**
- Ensure timely and accurate data input and reporting
- Warehouse damages / stock disposal process

- Stock take reporting
- Stock variance / cycle count reports
- Stock risk report
- Stock damages and quarantine report
- Stock disposal record keeping
- Weekly transactional recons between warehouse systems and physical stock maintenance
- Ensure monthly stock takes are executed

**Knowledge and Experience Required**
- Valid Matric Certificate
- 2+ years’ experience working within a FMCG or wholesale and retail environment
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements in an FMCG or wholesale and retail environment
- People leadership and management including planning, organizing, control, staffing
- Knowledge of stock control (FIFO), stock rotation, stock movement and stock take
- Experience on Syspro, WMS, iComply.
- Understanding of Warehouse and Distribution terminology (warehouse geography, put away, picking sequence, payloads, drops, RF scanning etc.)
- Knowledge of Syspro/WMS system and computer literate
- Sound understanding of Warehouse, Transport, Admin & Sales operation
- Good Time management skills.
- Be available to assist with monthly stock take
- Good communication skills both verbally and written.
- Excellent customer service attitude.
- Attention to detail essential which will include accuracy and speed in execution
