TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Safety Officer within the Timber division at Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Manage the Mill's Safety Department, ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations and TWK safety policies
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of safety programs, audits, and risk assessments
- Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are taken
- Conduct employee safety training and awareness programs
- Ensure compliance with RSR requirements, managing all aspects related to railway safety within the mill
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting on all safety-related matters

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Matric / Grade 12
- A relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the timber, manufacturing, or logistics industries
- Solid understanding of OHS regulations and Railway Safety Regulator standards
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a safety department
- Strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills
- Analytical thinking with a proactive approach to safety management
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
