**Summary**:This role involves passionate sales of catering equipment while ensuring smooth after-sales operations. The sales & after sales specialist will build relationships with existing clients, drive the sales journey from interest to purchase, and coordinate technical workshop activities to facilitate excellent communication between clients and technicians.
**Reports to**:Sales Manager & Technical Manager**Location**:Stikland, Cape Town**Schedule**:Monday - Friday, 08:00-16:30 & every 2nd Saturday, 09:00-12:00**Salary**:Market related and commensurate with experience
**Responsibilities**:
**Sales Responsibilities**:
- Provide general sales support in the showroom (needs analysis, product demonstrations).
- Grow relationships with existing distributors and end-user customers.
- Call on prospective clients (business owners, restaurant owners, catering managers, hotel managers, chefs, etc.) and follow up on leads.
- Effectively manage the sales administration, including tracking sales progress according to targets.
- Prepare and issue quotes and invoices, process payments via cash, EFT, or credit card.
- Provide exceptional service and follow through on orders, couriers, and deliveries.
- Keep up to date with new products, market conditions, advertising, and promotional trends.
**After-Sales Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate the technical department and after-sales functions.
- Ensure all department-related administration is managed well and done timeously.
- Keep records and report on work done, trends, stock of spare parts, etc.
- Manage all administration related to repair work in progress and completed.
- Prepare quotes for repairs and services; issue invoices for work completed.
- Manage repair book-ins, maintain job cards, and prioritise the repair queue.
- Assist clients visiting the workshop by booking in equipment and resolving any queries, issues, or product needs.
- Manage client expectations on repair turnaround time and ensure timely resolution of client queries.
- Arrange call-outs to clients for repairs and services on-site, ensuring adherence to standards and quality of service.

- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent listening and communication skills (telephonically & electronically).
- Independent and self-motivated with strong initiative and decision-making skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with superb administrative skills.
- Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multicultural environment.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- 3-5 years in a sales position, with at least 3 years of technical knowledge/experience with catering equipment.
- 1+ years’ experience in the catering equipment industry.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in an African language or Afrikaans is an advantage.
- Valid South African driver’s license.
- Further education in Sales/Marketing or Hospitality industry experience is advantageous.
