**Purpose**:
The Product Specialist’s role is to assist the Product Manager(s) in their daily operational processes and to help maintain the smooth and effective running of the business unit through tending to any queries relating to the products.
In their supportive role to the Product Manager(s), the Product Specialist must also be able to assist in the decision-making processes related to procurement, marketing, forecasting and profitability by providing detailed data and insight.
To drive the relevance and success of the brand by providing the latest insights on the product range to all customers and internal marketing and sales staff.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare reports (e.g. sales data, product segment profitability, stock availability, shipping, etc.)
- Provide valuable insight to product manager(s) on market trends
- Assist in maintaining and improving client and supplier relationships
- Tend to day-to-day queries of sales staff relating to the products
- Drive the brand by creating awareness through marketing and customer meetings

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Matric
- Degree/Diploma in Marketing and/or Sales would be preferable
- 3 Years’ experience in Marketing and/or Sales (preferably in the ICT industry)

**Skills and knowledge**:

- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (spoken - compulsory; reading and writing - optional)
- Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel)
- Product specific knowledge
- Technical knowledge of IT components and products is preferable
- Ability to interpret and understand analytical data
- Understanding of costing methods and profitability calculations
- Basic understanding of logistics
- Good negotiation skills
- Good relationship building skills
- Good communication skills
- Good customer management skills
