**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**3. REPORTING TO **Shared Services Director
**PURPOSE**
The purpose of this role is to lead, plan and manage inventory, logistics and supply chain processes, supply relationships and the supply chain team and operational performance to support delivery of projects on time and within budget.
**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS ACTIVITIES**
**Business Planning**
Develop the annual, quarterly and monthly Department Operational Plan in line with Organisational strategy and targets by evaluating strategy and targets, gathering inputs, developing plan and submitting for review, amendment and approval by the deadline as scheduled and required
- Track and manage delivery against business plan and targets by recording delivery, tracking performance, identifying and resolving challenges, identifying opportunities and solutions and implementing as agreed and at all times
- Manage profitability of Department by developing annual budget, managing delivery against budget, implementing cost saving and efficiency improvement activities and achieving profitability targets monthly, quarterly and annually.
**Department Management**
Define Department policy and procedure by defining, documenting, reviewing, updating and submitting for approval at least annually
- Upskill supply chain team on design principles, legislation and regulation by identifying changes and training needs and upskilling as required
- Identify and implement opportunities for improving productivity and/or profitability of Department by conducting research, evaluating industry trends, identifying opportunities, developing recommendation reports, submitting for approval and implementing approved interventions as scheduled and required
- Manage internal stakeholder relationships and contribute to overall
Cross Fire delivery by managing that supply chain team engage, understand customer needs, solve challenges and queries, manage expectations and build mutually beneficial and respectful relationships at all times
**Management Reporting**
Develop and submit departmental reporting by gathering required information, collating, checking for accuracy and completeness and submitting in defined templates by the defined deadline
- Implement accurate data gathering and Departmental tracking and measuring tools by identifying areas that require measurement, designing measurement tool, implementing and gathering accurate data at all times
- Manage staff compliance with data completion for reporting by training, evaluating compliance and addressing non-compliance as required
**Supplier Management**
To develop and maintain the preferred supplier database by identifying and sourcing appropriately skilled and capable suppliers in the respective areas, contracting with the suppliers and collecting required compliance documentation monthly and as required
- To secure appropriate pricing by engaging with suppliers to determine their pricing, undertaking market comparative analysis, negotiating with the suppliers and contracting on agreed pricing to support optimised profitability quarterly and as required
- To manage supplier compliance by maintaining up to date supplier compliance documentation, sourcing outstanding or out of date documents and updating the database monthly
- To manage the procurement process by receiving the procurement requirements, sourcing proposals to meet the supply requirements, convening the procurement committee, chairing the evaluation meetings, managing procedural compliance and documenting all outcomes monthly
**Stock and Logistics Management**
To provide input into warehousing and distribution solutions by reviewing options and good practices and making recommendations as required
- To manage the logistics by tracking and monitoring the logistics plans and addressing any issues or inefficiencies monthly
- To manage inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, stock turn, stock outs and write offs, identifying challenges and managing implementation of corrective action monthly
- To provide support in demand planning by analysing inventory trends, identifying key factors and providing input and recommendations as required
- To manage the stock by monitoring the stock counts, identifying issues with stock control, managing the ordering of new stock and addressing any shortages weekly and monthly as per stock count roster
**Staff Management**
Manage resourcing by identifying roles required, supporting the development of job descriptions and recruiting, selecting and inducting staff as required
**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS ACTIVITIES**
- Manage staff by defining performance expectations, providing staff with feedback on performance, addressing any areas of misconduct or non-performance, managing that compliant disciplinary measures are taken when required and building relationships with staff monthly and as required
