Duties/Pligte
- Developing and delivering academic content within the postgraduate programmes in development finance;
- Managing and coordinating the delivery of the modules within the postgraduate programmes;
- Developing a research agenda and collaborations to publish in internationally recognised, peer-reviewed journals;
- Through teaching and research, promoting the social impact of Stellenbosch Business School;
- Supervising postgraduate research at the master's and PhD-level, commensurate with the level of appointment;
- Expanding the networks between the Stellenbosch Business School and national and international development finance organisations;
- Participating in the administration of some departmental activities.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- A relevant Master's degree (e.g., Development Finance, Development Studies, Finance, Economics or Statistics, or a related field);
- Professional experience relevant to research and postgraduate teaching in development finance;
- Experience in the design and development of module content;
- Evidence of undertaking independent research leading to peer-reviewed publication(s) and demonstrable, ongoing commitment to professional enhancement, scholarship and / or research and project work, e.g., may currently be completing PhD studies in a relevant field;
- Commitment to exploring external funding opportunities, awards or grants, or possible commercial opportunities;
- Good organisational and personal management skills;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling
- A relevant PhD degree e.g., Development Finance, Development Studies, Finance, Economics or Statistics, or a related field;
- Evidence of research submitted to and published in internationally peer-reviewed journals;
- Experience in preparation of bids for externally funded research projects;
- Experience of teaching and learning in topics relevant to development finance;
- An international experience and networks in international institutions or the financial services industry
