**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Employee Relations & Contract Management**:
- Draft and manage employee contracts, ensuring they are compliant with local labour laws and company policies.
- Handle all internal relations, promoting a harmonious work environment and facilitating clear communication between employees and management.
**Recruitment & Staffing**:
**BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) Management**:
- Oversee the company's BEE compliance and implementation strategies.
- Coordinate Skill development plans.
- Liaise with verification agencies to ensure timely and accurate submission of BEE documentation and annual assessments.
**Health and Safety Management**:
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
- Development of Health and Safety site files.
- Conduct safety training sessions and ensure all employees are informed of emergency procedures.
- Monitor and report on the company's Health and Safety performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
**Performance Management & Appraisals**:
- Oversee the performance appraisal process, ensuring all employees receive timely and constructive feedback.
- Support managers in setting performance goals and providing guidance on performance development plans.
- Track performance outcomes and assist in addressing areas for improvement.
**Timesheets & Payroll**:
- Manage and monitor employee timesheets, ensuring accurate recording of attendance, overtime, and leave.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of payroll, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
**Compliance & Reporting**:
- Ensure the company’s compliance with all labour-related legal requirements, including submission of SARS returns and other statutory documentation.
- Complete and submit accurate WSP (Workplace Skills Plan) and ATR (Annual Training Report) submissions in alignment with skills development requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate HR-related reports and documentation for audits, inspections, and internal reviews.
**Company Policies & Procedures**:
- Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure they align with legal requirements and organizational goals.
- Communicate and enforce company policies on matters such as conduct, leave, performance, and compensation.
- Educate employees and management on policy changes and best practices.
**Skills Development & Training**:
- Implement and manage skills development initiatives, ensuring employees have access to training and development opportunities in line with business needs.
- Track training progress and assist in identifying gaps in skills and competencies.
- Work with managers to ensure that training supports career development and internal promotions.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources, with exposure to BEE compliance, Health and Safety, and skills development.
- **Knowledge**: Deep understanding of South African labour law, BEE regulations, Health and Safety standards, and HR best practices.
- **Skills**: Strong command of the English language is essential, a deep understanding of interpersonal skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities,
- **Certifications**: BEE Accreditation or related certifications, Health and Safety training, and any HR certifications are advantageous.
- **Drivers License**: Valid drivers license essential.
**Working Conditions**:
- Full-time position
- Some travel may be required for training, audits, or site visits.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
