**Requirements**: - Valid Matric Certificate - Min. 5 years experience - Proficient in MS Office Suite **Software Experience**:SAP with modules including**: - ** Inventory**: - Multi-Warehousing - BOM (Bill of Materials) - Purchasing - Projects - Service **General Function Proficiency** - Print reports to: Hard Copy / Excel CSV File / PDF file format - Create Stock Codes - Understanding of Stock Categories - Understanding of Stock Groups - Understanding the process of linking Purchase orders to Goods Received Notes to Supplier Invoice - Understanding of Average cost as compared to LIFA (Last in First out) - Edit Stock Codes - BOM (Bill of Materials) create (components list will be provided) **Duties and Responsibilities** **Stock Transfers**: - ** Plan warehouse**(s) packing (to create bin system labelling) for each physical warehouse type. Using the SAP Stock Transfer documentation for signing out and signing in. An example of physical warehouse type would be: - Technician Vehicle Stock (Stock in Transit Warehouse). - Service Item Warehouse. - Contract Item Warehouse. - ** Transfer stock out between warehouses**. An example would be: - Stock issued to Technicians would be Stock In Transit warehouse. - **Transfer stock in between warehouses**. An example would be: - Return of unsold stock from the Stock In Transit warehouse back into the relevant physical stock warehouse. - Return of tools from the Tools in Transport warehouse back into the physical tools warehouse. **Other Function Proficiencies** - Stockout preparation as per Service & Contract requirements input lists from Technicians. - Maintain minimum stock levels for high movement Service and Contract stock items as per Service Administration summaries and SAP Inventory Listing. - Stocktake planning weekly/monthly/annual. - Maintain a "bin" (stock location) orderly system. - Maintain general cleanliness and hygiene of storage areas (cleaner provided, but must be able and willing to clean if cleaning staff not available). - Packing and arranging for the courier of stock to clients, and Johannesburg and KwaZulu Natal branches. - Receipting of stock ordered. - Tie up documentation of receipted stock to Goods Received purchase order. - Must absolutely be familiar with creating a Purchase order (if and when required) then receipting stock using Goods Received and linking GRN to Supplier invoice. The norm is to keep all these functions separate for security reasons. That said, staff absences or tight schedules may require the storeman to perform all of these functions at any given time. **Microsoft** - Excel Intermediate - Word Intermediate manage own correspondence - Outlook Intermediate manage own correspondence **Function Proficiency Excel** - Locate and open existing files proficiency in the directory structure (user data in the users directory on server no files may be saved on the workstation). - Save a file - proficiency in directory structure (user data in the users directory on server no files may be saved on the workstation). - Save as a file - proficiency in directory structure (user data in the users directory on server no files may be saved on the workstation). - Formatting a cell: category: text, number, accounting, date & alignment & font. - Convert a CSV file to excel format and save to specific directory (understand computer directory structures). - Multiple sort levels of selected data within a spread sheet. - Use the filter function. - Creation of new spread sheets. - Formatting spread sheets: All of the Page Layout functions: Margins, Orientations, Size, Print Area, Print Titles. - Basic calculations on selected data: columns/rows: add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentage.**Function Proficiency Word** - Save a file - proficiency in the directory structure (user data in the users directory on server no files may be saved on the workstation). - Save as a file - proficiency in the directory structure (user data in the users directory on server no files may be saved on the workstation). - Formatting text: fonts, bulleted lists, columns, headers, footers etc. - Locate and open existing file proficiency in the directory structure (user data in the users directory on server no files may be saved on the workstation. - Create Basic Editing Basic Paragraph/Document formatting, Page numbering (one of xxx) within headers and footers. - Saving a word file, and,**Function Proficiency Outlook** - Create folders. - Moving mail to folders. - Accept meeting invites. - Create meeting invites.**Other important aspects of the position** - The storeman may be required to understudy the position of, Assistant to the Service Administration manager to compensate for staff on leave. - The storeman must provide training to designated (management will decide which staff) to understudy self so that the duties of the storeman is not neglected during times of illness and/or leave. - Must be willing to work overtime especially for stocktaking.
