Investor Relations Support Specialist

**Purpose of the Job**:
The purpose of the Investor Relations Support Specialist role is to provide administrative and organisational support to the Group Investor Relations Manager, ensuring the role is fully supported and enabled to deliver on the Group’s strategic objectives. The Investor Relations Support Specialist is a highly collaborative role, partnering with stakeholders to understand their needs to deliver the right solutions, while acting as a trusted partner. The role further serves as the face of administrative and organisational support services to both internal and external stakeholders, providing an exceptional customer service experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging with and attending to stakeholder queries and requests, managing stakeholder diaries, preparing documentation and correspondence, organising meetings, booking travel and supporting the general running and efficiency of the Investor Relations Function.
**Job Objectives**:
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support execution of the Group Investor Relations mandate.
Act as the point of contact between the Group Investor Relations Manager and the senior management team, internal and external stakeholders, shareholders, investors and clients, ensuring all queries and requests are dealt with professionally, efficiently and timeously.
Support the establishment of relationships with stakeholders, shareholders and investors that reflect positively on the Shoprite Group.
Serve as a liaison between external stakeholders, shareholders and investors and internal stakeholders to provide best in class service to shareholders and the investor base.
Support the Group Investor Relations Manager with the development of investor relations strategies.
Draft various documents / materials including preparing reports, templates, presentations, meeting agendas and packs.
Gather, compile and prepare data for reporting.
Follow up internally and externally on deadlines for document submissions and file and store records and data.
Maintain relevant databases.
Execute general administration relevant to the investor relations function which includes proving professional verbal and written follow up to shareholders and investors.
Support senior management with diary management and setting up of schedules and meetings.
Manage travel requests and accommodation bookings.
Coordinate facilities requirements for the hosting of events and meetings.
Proactively work to support the Group Investor Relations Manager and broader Shoprite team in the achievement of their strategic goals.
**Qualifications**:
Grade 12 certificate - (essential).
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Communications/ Marketing
**Experience**:
3 years plus experience in the role of a Senior Executive Assistant which included working with shareholders and board members
**Knowledge and Skills**:
Understanding of the Shoprite Group
Extensive and well-rounded experience providing administrative and organisational support to a senior leadership team and engaging with clients and stakeholders across functions and levels
Strong proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook
Financial acumen
