**Epko Oil Seed Crushing (Pty) Ltd is a progressive**
**company involved in the procurement and processing**
**of oilseeds, the sales of vegetable oil and related**
**products. The plant, with a capacity of processing**
**220k/MT sunflower seeds and processes which**
**equates to 25% of the total sunflower seed harvest in**
**South Africa, is situated in Lichtenburg.
We currently have the following position available:
**BOILERMAKER**
**Purpose of the position**:
The duties attached to this position entails metal work and amongst other the manufacturing and installation of spare parts, as well as
maintenance, installation and repair of machinery and equipment at EPKO. It is required that he / she can perform tasks in an individual
capacity upon approval from Plant Engineer / Manager. The incumbent will have key relationships with the Plant Engineer, Epko Artisans
and the Operational Staff.

**Responsibilities**:

Must be first and foremost a responsible individual with great attention to safety precautions.

Maintain logs and record labour, materials and equipment used, relevant to job card feedback.

Knowledge and understanding of Boiler making and welding legal requirements.

Use of Oxy-acetylene gas cutting torch.

Use of Precision tools, hand tools and power tools.

Read Diagrams and do work according to the specifications.

Verify position of metal components in assembly, using straightedge, combination square, calipers and measuring tape.

Clamp metal components to assemble for welding.

Fasten seams and joints together with welds, bolts, rivets, solders to assemble components into products or to repair sheet metal
items.

Fabricate or alter parts as needed.

Trim, files, grind, buff and smooth surfaces, seams and joints of assembled parts using hand tools and portable power tools.

Identify different types of metals so that correct welding and procedures can be followed.

Willing to do standby and work shifts and overtime.

Practice a safe work environment.

Housekeeping in and around Workshop and Plant.

Report any unlawful activity or activities to be reported.

Any other lawful and reasonable instructions should not be refused as team work (team spirit principal) should avail at all times.
