**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

Your role will be pivotal in assessing new data sources, refining data collection methods and building analytical systems that elevate our decision-making capabilities. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Analyse large and complex data sets to uncover insights and trends that inform business decisions and drive growth
- Provide actionable insights to enhance customer targeting and segmentation strategies
- Design and build the feature stores for model training
- Develop predictive models to forecast customer behaviour and optimise marketing efforts
- Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders and decision makers in a clear and concise manner
- Drive innovation by identifying new data sources and methodologies for improved customer understanding
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data science technologies, methodologies and trends

**ROLE REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Operations Research
- Minimum of 5 years experience in data science, with a strong emphasis on predictive modelling and machine learning
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Python SQL
- A basic understanding of code repositories, git and CI/CD
- Experience with machine learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, etc.)
- Experience with statistical analysis and hypothesis testing
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as GCP, Hadoop and Spark
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g. Looker Studio, Power BI, etc.)
- Strong Mathematical ability
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to tackle ambiguous business problems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- A self-driven team player who is results driven, assumes ownership of the given task and is
- committed to excellence
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for exploring new data sources and methodologies
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new techniques and tools as needed
- Strong business acumen
