Data Scientist’s role is to solve business problems with machine learning and statistics solutions.

**What will I be doing?**:

- Mine data and extract information in d-local's data environment.
- Build machine learning models, optimization solutions and statistical inference techniques for anomaly detection, fraud detection, etc.
- Research, prototype, and test new methodologies for measuring effectiveness and building predictive algorithms.
- Communicate results on a regular basis to partners around the world.
- Collaborate with other data scientists, data engineers, and other teams to develop data driven improvements to our platform.

**What skills do I need?**:

- 2+ years of hands-on data science in applied machine learning and statistics.
- Proven experience as Data Scientist, ML engineer, or Data Engineer.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, Python, and Spark.
- Experimentation - AB testing.
- Experience in AWS services like SageMaker, ECS, Glue, and more to build and deploy scalable machine learning models in the cloud is a plus.
- Experience in payments or other financial systems is a plus.
- Flexibility and proven ability to juggle multiple data science projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
- Team player - can effectively participate as an effective team member.
- Curious profile and positive attitude.
