Position: Construction Site Agent

Department: Projects and Operations

An opportunity has become available at On Point On Time Solutions in the Projects an Operations Department. Suitably qualified individuals are invited to apply.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
National Diploma or BTech in Civil Engineering.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in the built environment.

Minimum of 5 years of waste-water plant treatment experience.

Experience as a Pr Tech Eng or Pr Techni Eng.

KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS

Strong understanding of water treatment processes and technologies

Oversee the entire construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Prepare programmes for contract, plan and requisition of labour, materials and equipment

Prepare / supervise and compile monthly cost reports, monthly plan and labour forecasts and authorises it expenditure

Site Supervision: Monitor on-site activities to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.

Supervise the construction team, including site foremen, laborers, and subcontractors

Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that construction work meets quality standards and complies with building codes and regulations.

Monitor construction activity on site to prescribed quality standards.

Monitor production and make daily progress reports for submission to Line Management.

Read, understand and explain drawing specifications to Foremen.

Ensure safety compliances to and promote safe working practices.

Identify bottlenecks, resolve them and streamline the construction process on site.

Integrate various resource requirements of production teams on site.

Monitor, control and improve production and productivity levels on site

Conduct production planning and integration meetings on site

Communication: Serve as the main liaison between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, facilitating clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, change orders, and compliance documentation

Coordination with Suppliers: Manage the procurement and delivery of construction materials and ensure that supplies are available on-site as needed, avoiding delays in the construction process
