- Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, and tankers to ensure maximum efficiency and safety
- Test equipment and systems for performance and identify any issues or potential problems
- Conduct repairs to brakes and electrical systems to ensure proper function and safety
- Maintain and document repairs, as well as keeping track of stock and inventory
- Ensure a clean and organised work environment at all times

**Requirements**:

- Matric (Grade 12)
- Certificate/Technical qualification in mechanics or truck repair
- Valid driver's license and own transportation
- Own hand tools (required)
- Experience with maintaining, repairing, and servicing trucks and trailers
- Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and tail lift systems
- Welding, fabrication, and painting experience is a plus
