**SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER**
**Worcester**

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the job incumbent will be responsible to effectively manage the entire supply chain through the cost-effective sourcing of resources, accurate stock management and efficient distribution of finished goods.

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**

**Procurement**
The accurate, timeous, and strategic sourcing of products and material based on technical knowledge of material and products. This includes pro-active negotiation in support of best price, quality and delivery time, the timeous and accurate placing of orders as well as following up on deliveries of orders. Responsible for the running of MRP in X3 for both the trading site as well as the manufacturing site. This is done to ensure that the needs of the organisation are met in support of plant efficiency as well as to address all business requirements in support of the corporate growth strategy.

**Stock Management**
Responsible for the management of stock relating to among others raw materials, consumables, and spares. This is done through overseeing the correct receipt, safe storage and accurate issuing of stock and includes the auditing of received stock on a regular basis as well as controlling stock accuracy through cycle counts.

**Distribution**
Responsible for the entire distribution function pertaining to finished goods through the optimal utilisation of available fleet and liaising with all relevant stakeholders - both internal and external - to ensure on-time-in-full delivery. Also responsible for maintaining the fleet as well as for any fines incurred by drivers.

**People Management**
To lead, manage and control subordinates by managing day to day issues as well as ensuring that employees have the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to properly perform their functions. This is done to ensure optimal performance of subordinates as well as fostering a positive work attitude among team members.

**Quality Control**
Responsible for the verification of the quality of incoming goods and/or raw material, especially bought-in items.

**Optimization**
Responsible for the optimisation of raw materials for production requirements.

**QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Tertiary qualification in supply chain management.
- Experience in a supply chain role within a dynamic manufacturing environment
- At least three years’ experience in an ERP system
- Warehousing experience would be an advantage
