Assist with the planning and execution of national and international field surveys under the guidance of experienced specialists.
- Learn to identify and classify soils using the South African Soil Classification System (2018);
- Participate in fieldwork, including working in remote or challenging environments.
- Observe and support the identification and delineation of wetlands using the South African Practical Field Procedure for Identification and Delineation of Wetlands and Riparian Areas (DWAF, 2005);
- Assist in conducting wetland and soil impact assessments as part of broader project teams.
- Contribute to sensitivity analyses and the development of environmental recommendations.
- Assist in compiling scientific reports and preparing data for review by senior team members or submission to relevant authorities.
- Support wetland and soil delineation activities under supervision.
- Contribute to Land Use, Land Capability, and Agricultural Assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team.

**Qualifications**
- BSc. degree (Honours/MSc preferred) in Environmental Sciences/ Soil Science.
- Knowledge of Agricultural Compliance Statements, Land Use and Land Capability Assessments.
- Knowledge of vegetation, AIP management and rehabilitation would be advantageous.
