A leading IT service provider in the North of Johannesburg is looking to hire a freelance IT technician.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Their main responsibility would be to diagnose, repair, troubleshoot and maintain computer and software systems. Their duties may include but are not limited to, repairing and/or replacing damaged hardware, performing tests on new hardware and/or software, creating CRM tickets and logging its resolution, installing, and managing workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices such as routers, printers etc.

They will also need to support users with how to operate new software and computer equipment.

**Requirements**:

- Certification as IT Technician - CompTIA A+ or Microsoft certified IT Professional.
- A+ and N+ Qualifications.
- Fiber Optic Cabling experience.
- 2+years’ experience of working with diverse computer systems and networks.
- Must know how to fix internet related issues and replace parts.
- In depth knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
- Networking and cabling experience.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Punctual.
- Must speak fluent English.
- Must have a clear criminal record.
- Must have own car, insurance and road worthy test done.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Must be polite and treat clients with respect and be willing to go the extra mile for clients.

**Remuneration**:

- R250 per hour plus call out fee.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From R800.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 45 per week
