Logistics Courier

**Responsibilities**:_

Carrying out the normal duties and functions that occur within a professional Laboratory Service. These duties and functions include, interalia:

- Record temperature logs onto temperature log books.
- Report problems with clients to the manager.
- Collect specimens and delivery reports timely.
- Ensuring that blood samples are transported timeously and safely.
- Call on doctors as per the roster or instructions from the manager or controller.
- Comply with minimum standards of efficiency and accuracy to meet company standards.
- Follow delivery/pickup instructions from the manager.
- Ensure that all collections/store returns/inter-branches are correctly checked, signed for and returned to the receiving area.
- Comply with the company vehicle policy at all times
- Complete and maintain an accurate logbook.
- Ensure that the vehicle is never unattended during the delivery process.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and presentable.
- Inspect vehicles for any defects and safe operating conditions before, during and after trips; and report any concerns to the manager.
- Report on all accidents and incidents involving drivers or company equipment.
- Adhere to the road traffic rules and regulations as per the National Road Traffic Act
- Responsibility for any traffic fines allocated to the vehicle driven.
- Create effective and efficient relationships with internal and external customers to improve operating efficiencies
- Establish long-term customer relationships through prompt and courteous service.
- Professionality when dealing with customers.
- **Essential Requirements**:_
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Relevant experience in courier services
- A valid South African driver license
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Honest and reliable
- Basic Computer skills
- Laboratory experience (Advantage)
- Able to work shifts when required.
