**Role title: Marketing Specialist**
**Location: Midrand**
**Duration: 6 months**
**Role purpose**:
- The most prominent responsibility of the Marketing Specialist is the coordinating and implementing innovative marketing campaigns for branding and product launches.
- Responsibilities will involve collaborating with other marketing and sales professionals to drive effective strategies.
- By extension, this responsibility extends to collaboration with the Social Media team and internal design/copywriting team as well, as in an acceleration unit, the two teams overlap each other distinctly and daily.
**Key accountabilities ownership**:
- Conduct market research to identify customer requirements, habits, and trends
- Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns.
- Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities, demonstrating expertise in areas such as content development, optimization, advertising, and event planning.
- Evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns using key metrics and present recommendations to management.
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing stakeholders
- Join social media groups and professional platforms to discuss industry-related topics.
- Monitor corporate website and social media pages, addressing business interests.
- Gather customer feedback to inform sales and product teams.
**Must have technical / professional qualifications**:
**Experience**:
- Proven work experience as a Marketing Communications Specialist or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with B2B and B2C advertising campaigns.
- Hands-on experience with web content management tools
- Knowledge of SEO
**Communication**:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good presentation skills.
**Education**:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a relevant field.

- Execute on a brand identity guideline
- Learn the structure and purpose of creative briefs. - Understand the role of ad agencies in creative development.
- Draft a creative brief for a campaign(s). - Evaluate the effectiveness of a creative brief.
- Understand the importance of feedback after campaign execution. - Provide constructive feedback to ad agencies.
- Provide feedback on a completed campaign. - Demonstrate clarity and specificity in debriefing.
- Explore customer touchpoints and interactions. - Understand the customer journey mapping process.
- Create a customer journey map for a specific product/service. - Identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
- Learn about key performance indicators (KPIs) in marketing. - Understand data analysis and reporting tools.
- Compile a monthly performance report for marketing campaigns. - Interpret KPIs and trends.
- Understand the components of a marketing strategy. - Learn about segmentation, targeting, and positioning.
- Develop a comprehensive marketing strategies
- Explore brand positioning and differentiation. - Understand long-term brand vision and goals
- Craft a brand strategy document for an existing brand. - Articulate the brands unique value proposition.
- Learn effective presentation techniques. - Understand visual storytelling.
- Deliver a compelling presentation summarizing the marketing and brand strategies. - Engage the audience and address questions.
- Understand the role of creativity in marketing. - Learn how to critique creative work constructively.
- Evaluate creative materials (ads, designs, etc.). - Provide specific feedback for improvement.
