**MOTUS MULTIFRANCHISE DIVISION** has an exiciting opportunity available for a **VEHICLE VALUATOR** to oversee the vehicle auction/ Bid4cars process for dealers within the Division; supporting the dealer network to maximise sales and profitability on used vehicles.
The Vehicle Valuator will report to the National Used Car Manager.
Please note that this is an internal Motus opportunity.
**Position Overview**:
**MOTUS MULTIFRANCHISE DIVISION** has an exiciting opportunity available for a **VEHICLE VALUATOR** to oversee the vehicle auction/ Bid4cars process for dealers within the Division; supporting the dealer network to maximise sales and profitability on used vehicles.
**Specific Role Responsibilities**:
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
Overseeing the vehicle auction/ Bid4cars process for dealers within the Division of responsibility. This entails (among other things):
- Checking dealer stock sheet daily basis for vehicles that fit the profile of an auction vehicle.
- Conducting physical evaluation of vehicles at dealers in Gauteng who have trade-ins/ out-of-parameter vehicles for auction which cannot be retailed.
- Conducting full valuation on vehicles including bodywork, mechanical checks (oil & water), assessment of interior condition and test driving vehicle before pushing to auction.
- Daily follow-up with Executives on auction vehicles that has not been sold due to various reasons.
- Assisting Traders on auction day by viewing and test driving our Auction vehicles.
- Loading vehicles on auction platform used by business.
- Issuing auction feedback (winning bids, no win bids) to dealers stakeholders (Stock Controller, Used Car Sales Manager, Dealer Principal and Accountant).
- Following up on payments with the dealer/Trader who has purchased the vehicle on auction.
- Sending out the proof of payment to relevant dealers and ensuring payment is receipted before releasing the vehicle to the buyer.
- Daily follow-ups regarding vehicle Natis documents once vehicle is purchased on auction.
- Compilation and submission of month end auction report.
- Assisting dealer network with queries on pricing of the trade-in vehicles.
- Assisting with approving buy-ins on SSP.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
**Experience and Knowledge Required**:
- A minimum of 5 years used vehicle valuation experience within the motor vehicle industry.
- Track record of accurate vehicle valuations, setting and adjusting pricing is essential.
**Qualifications Required**:
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- A relevant tertiary qualification NQF5+ (e.g. sales/ marketing/ business management) qualification - an added advantage.
**Other Requirements**:
- Valid, unendorsed drivers license and the ability to competently and legitimately drive.
- Computer literate: MS Office and dealer lead management system.
- Knowledge of dealership policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of competitive motor industry.
