E-commerce Specialist: Leading Isp

We have an exciting opportunity for a mid-weight e-Commerce Specialist at a leading ISP & Tech company’s Cape Town HQ. In this role you will assist with improving and driving the e-Commerce journey and strategy to ensure the sustainability, profitability and growth of the e-Commerce sales channel. Reporting to the e-Commerce Channel Manager, and working cross functionally with Service delivery, Product, Marketing and Development teams, your focus will be to increase traffic to the websites, increase conversation rates, help build engaging and relevant product content to ultimately improve the customer journey and maximise online sales.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with the e-Commerce Channel Manager to support online sales growth and strategies
- Manage and track the delivery of technical enhancements with the development team - site enhancements, improvements, and web site issue resolution through working closely with internal teams
- Improve onsite sales performance and communicate updates and recommendations to stakeholders and the team in a timely manner
- Prepare reports and analyses conversion numbers by monitoring web analytics and internal data sources
- Conversion Rate Optimisation
- Site usage analysis using CRO tools and generation of suggested improvements to the user experience
- Monitoring and evaluation of user behaviour to derive suggestions for improvements
- Collection of market and competitor information
- Producing regular reports that outline web performance against key KPIs - Define user journeys and suggesting improvements were pain points can be identified
- e-Commerce reporting and analytics
- Analysis and interpretation of the e-Commerce related performance - Creating and managing implementation of analytics metrics and tracking and measuring site and product performance
- Capturing data and providing analytic reports of online sales and activities with recommendations. Monitor e-Commerce performance for each product and update KPI reports ready to present insights and recommendations weekly
- Work closely with e-Commerce Channel Manager and internal team to translate commercial requirements and website optimisation into development requirements and drive implementation.
**Requirements**:
- Relevant Degree/Diploma
- At least 3 years of e-Commerce experience
- Able to effortlessly talk to things like e-Commerce revenue, conversion metrics and user experience
- Fundamental Google Analytics certification and experience reporting on data
- Understanding of the technology stack required for an e-Commerce business
- Google Analytics Individual Qualification Certification
- Experience using Conversion Rate Optimisation tools, the ability to interpret web analytics, tracking, and reporting, and knowledge on how to improve these metrics
- Experience in managing the development and deployment of website functionality with a team
- Comfortable with A/B testing methodologies and segmentation
- Sound understanding of e-Commerce. Experience of working in e-Commerce is preferable
- Good understanding of website design, development, and tracking
- MS Office proficiency. Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Strong Conceptual, organisational, and time-management skills
- A great team player with a strong value system and integrity and solid listening skills
- Results oriented, independent, entrepreneurial, and self-motivating
- A willingness and ability to collaborate and cultivate relationships with multiple divisions
- The ability to work with little supervision while managing multiple priorities; and to quickly adapt in a rapidly changing environment
- Able to use Spreadsheets or Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs etc.) in addition to web analytics to stay organised and monitor changes in product sales and identify opportunities for improvement
- A good understanding of customer behaviours, propensities, and journeys
- Expert understanding of website design, SEO, UX and Google analytics
- Meticulous attention to detail.
