The Opportunity:
We are currently have an opportunity for a Sea-Freight Controller in our team in Johannesburg.
- Registration of straight and handover documents.
- Payment of COD handover documents
- Tracking ETA of MBL (Master Bill) with shipping lines / local agents for straight and handover documents.
- Checking documents for customs clearance request / obtain any documents required.
- Open Seafreight import clearing file. Record any special instructions on file cover. Hand complete file to customs broking department for customs clearance.
- Prepare customer tax invoice.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Ability and confidence to deal with difficult customers if the need arises.
- CW1 Compliant and literate
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- IT literate.
- Effective Time Management skills.
- Effective organisational skills with significant focus on attention to details.
