Interact with guests, take orders and serve food and beverages in accordance with service sequence.

Meet and greet guests and present them with the menu.

Inform guests about special items or any menu changes if any.

Coordinate with Senior Chef on duty to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.

Ensure observation of guests to ensure satisfaction with beverages and drinks delivered.

Ensure the correct presentation and readiness of the restaurant, including cleanliness and availability of all condiments.

Promptly respond to guests’ additional requests.

Fully competent in delivering food and beverages, serving wines, and pouring beverages at the table.

Ensure availability and preparation of cutlery, glassware, accompaniments, and condiments are available to serve guests effectively.

Ensuring that food and beverages are ordered and served in compliance with Company Standard using the correct glassware, cutlery and condiments.

Assess guest’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.

Ability to sell or influence others for up selling and suggestive selling.

Serve guests in a friendly and helpful manner.

Provide guidance to guests on Hotel and Restaurant facilities, dining options and general hotel information.

Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of beverage products, food menus and promotions.

Clean up after guests and clean work area.

Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, mopping and dusting

Accurately record and inform management of breakages, wastage and internal transfers to and from departments following Company Standard.

Collect payment for food and beverages and balance all receipts.

Follow Company Standard Policy of “No Slip, No Drink” or “No slip, No Food”

Stay guest focussed and nurture an excellent guest experience.

Comply with Food and Beverage storing regulations.

Complete competence in using POS when opening, ordering, noting special instructions, and presentation of bills and closure of tables.

**Salary**: R5,400.00 - R5,500.00 per month
