Creditors Clerk

Job Grade: B3

Job purpose

To ensure timeous capturing of invoices and payments for all creditor’s payments for the KZN Region. Check the validity of invoices and resolve queries with internal and external stakeholders and reconcile creditors accounts monthly and liaise with Council to resolve municipal queries.

Role Location

4th Floor, Lincoln on The Lake, Umhlanga Ridge.

Reporting Manager

The Creditors Clerk reports to the Regional Accountant

Duties and responsibilities
- Ensure accurate payments of invoices captured directly on MRI/Fraxion
- Ensure authorisation of invoice captured on Fraxion.
- Ensure timeous response time to supplier and internal queries
- Identify problems and anomalies and provide solutions
- Balance audit trail
- Reconcile supplier statements and Council Accounts
- Ensure payments of council invoices
- Ensure accuracy of invoice payments
- Manage council queries on invoices
- Assist teams to Open/Close council accounts for sold or newly acquired buildings.
- Ensure that the documents are filed appropriately after each payment run
- Assist with printing of contractual invoices

Experience
- 3 years minimum experience as a creditors clerk

- Matric prerequisite
- Post matric qualification will be an advantage
