The Role requires a Senior Sourcing Specialist who will manage the OEM sourcing process for the end customer by implementing solutions that will improve quality, save costs, and reduce lead time. As the sourcing specialist your role will provide service excellence by identifying key client business issues, determining both business and client’s needs, pursues sales leads, promotes services and products, and manages the finalization of sales. The role requires the executing of problem solving and implementation of innovative solutions to add value to the customers overall supply chain. The sourcing specialist will need to provide price benchmarking services for a period and further provide clients with indicative schedule of activities, timelines, and products/service offering. Continuously strive to improve the sourcing process by consistently re-evaluating the OEM market. The specialist will need to have exceptional leading skills to drive results in collaboration with the operations team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Guide a customer to acquire OEM parts in the most efficient and cost-effective way by benchmarking and chasing the best price for the end customer.
- Conduct research to establish a wide range of reliable and reputable suppliers to implement strategic sourcing.
- Execute RFX’s accurately and submit all relevant documents timeously. Making sure all deadlines for RFQs are met according to the specific bid.
- Negotiate price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers while requesting for quotations. Ensuring that the best quotation from the best suitable supplier is submitted with the RFX.
- Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns for the finance department to consolidate and approve.
- Ensure that clients receive quality service by understanding their needs and promoting an overall positive and helpful environment.
- improve sourcing processes for an organization, with the goal of streamlining operations and reducing costs.
- Collect technical data in relation to OEM parts to meet and deliver the correct product/service according to the customers specifications.
- Ensure all tender / bid documents are appropriately reviewed and signed off.
- Ensure that delivered goods are inspected to conform with the specifications on the order.

**Requirements and Qualifications**
- Post Graduate degree in Supply Chain, operations, logistics or engineering.
- Relevant procurement and strategic sourcing experience
- 5 years and above experience of supply chain
- Experience with CRM software (preferred)
- High Knowledge about OEM parts and the automotive industry

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
