Public Relations and Stakeholder Engagement

**Position Overview**:
The Public Relations & Stakeholder Engagement role is responsible for managing the company's public relations efforts, building stakeholder relationships, and positioning Teleperformance SA as a leader in the industry. This position requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the BPO industry, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Public Relations & Stakeholder Relationships**:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with media, stakeholders, and the public.
- Serve as the South African point of contact for media enquiries, press releases, and crisis communication, ensuring effective use of external communication channels.
- Attend relevant industry events, meetings, workshops, and conferences, identifying appropriate Teleperformance representatives to attend where needed.
**2. Industry Body Relationships**:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with industry bodies, award and recognition organizations, and associations.
- Lead efforts to participate in awards, social media mentions, and other industry recognition opportunities.
**3. Industry Activities Monitoring**:
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on industry activities to identify opportunities, best practices, and trends.
- Study and strategize for award participation, sharing recommendations with leadership and stakeholders.
**4. Industry Awards**:
- Develop a pipeline for participation in industry awards and recognition programs.
**5. B2B Relationships**:
- Engage with industry peers through forums and meetings.
- Create compelling B2B communications to strengthen relationships with stakeholders, industry associations, media houses, and event organizers.
**6. Market Research**:
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform public relations and marketing strategies.
**7. Industry Positioning**:
- Develop and implement a strategy to position Teleperformance SA as an industry leader in South Africa.
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging that reflects this leadership position.
**8. Brand Management - South Africa**:
- Protect and enhance the company's brand by ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
- Monitor brand consistency and collaborate with creative teams to maintain brand integrity across all communications and marketing materials.
**9. Influencer Partnerships**:
- Identify and reach out to key influencers in the market for potential partnerships.
- Develop mutually beneficial collaborations to expand brand reach and impact.
**10. Government Funding**:
- Engage with government-funded stakeholders to understand funding opportunities and maximize benefits for Teleperformance SA.
**11. Monitor Announcements**:
- Oversee announcements and other creative content to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and build brand equity and reputation.
**12. Internal & External Communication**:
- Collaborate with all departments to identify communication needs, both internally and externally.
**13. External Communications**:
- Ensure consistent and compelling messages in collaboration with other specialist teams.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in public relations, stakeholder engagement, or a similar role in a BPO or corporate environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with media, stakeholders, and industry bodies.
- Experience with industry award submissions, event planning, and influencer partnerships.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Knowledge of South African industry regulations and government funding opportunities is an advantage.
