Pharmacist (Semi Retired/retired)

**Job Purpose**:
- To ensure compliance with the medicines and related substances Act, Act 101 of 1965 and subsequently amended and the Pharmacy Act, Act 53 of 1974 and as subsequently amended, and to plan procurement, distribution and inventory management for Marie Stope South Africa
**Job Objectives**:
- To ensure compliance with quality & regulatory standards and guidelines.
- To ensure appropriate stock level and inventory controls are in place at all times
- To ensure correct handling and storage of products.
- To maintain the Quality Managements System (QMS) by preparing and updating SOPs, conducting audits and monitoring staff training.
- To ensure that favourable audit reports are received from the global program over sight office, to formulate replies to audits reports.
- To ensure management of the schedule 5 and 6 products
- To ensure the availability of emergency after hours service.
- To ensure that there is appropriate Pharmacist supervision of premises during operating hours.
- To ensure nurses dispensing licenses are current
- To review medicine strategies and make necessary recommendations to improve the quality of medical car
- Responsible for all communication with MCC and SAPC.
**Minimum requirements**
**Education and Experience**:
- B. Pharm. Degree
- Experience in Wholesale/ Distribution or Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
- Would consider retired persons who are looking to work on contract basis
**Job Related Knowledge and Skills**:
- Pharmaceutical Industry Laws and Regulations and Ethics.
- Current valid registration in good standing with SAPC
- Staff management
- Writing skill
- Excellent computer skills
- Knowledge of ISO standards
