Compliance Officer

**JOB SUMMARY**

The Compliance Officer supports the CEO and plays an important role in ensuring that the company operates in full compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies and standards. This role is responsible for assisting with ensuring all relevant corporate governance principals are implemented across the organisation and reporting back to the Board of Directors. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for the updating and safekeeping of Contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), policies, maintaining comprehensive records, overseeing insurance matters, as well as monitoring of action plans and adherence to timelines on behalf of the CEO.

This role collaborates with all departments to ensure ethical practices are maintained at all times.

**Job Technical Skills**
- Proficient in the standards of Corporate Governance used in South Africa
- Ability to interpret legal documents and regulations
- Conversant with other specialist terminology including F&B service, Culinary, Housekeeping, Facilities Management, Security, Project Management, Wellness, Wildlife and Conservation

**Academic Qualifications and Work Experience**
- BCom Business Administration or equivalent
- Certification in Compliance advantageous
- 5+ years of previous experience in a Compliance role
