ikeja Wireless PTY (LTD) is looking for a Junior Technician **t**o join our team, as we embark on the expansion of our network throughout South Africa. In taking on this role, you will be joining a talented and passionate team that is intrinsically motivated by the fact that we are a fast-growing internet startup that finds itself in the telecommunications space. At ikeja, we believe in providing more than just a quality wireless internet solution-we're dedicated to building and empowering the communities which we serve, by equipping them with the accessibility required for their personal and professional development. In the role, we are seeking a stock controller to execute a range of duties related to the proactive and efficient monitoring of incoming and outgoing stock. In taking on this role, you will play a critical role within the supply chain process and ensure the smooth operations of the business. The Junior Technician role demands that you be exceptionally organized, meticulous, resourceful, hands-on, highly responsible, and able to take initiative.
- ** Responsibilities for this role**:

- Receive and note stock taken from manufacturing daily
- Configure all Switches, loco’s, lite beam's and cambiums
- Assign Job card numbers to each equipment.
- Capturing of all Mac Addresses on M-Files
- Daily Housekeeping of the working area
- Consulting with customer support
- Update the installation planning spreadsheet (using a color coding system tool for communication)
- Earthing of all equipment onto the grid
- **Assist teams (when out in the field) in**:

- Dialling up of switches
- Changing passwords
- Changing of Mac addresses
- Utilizing Winbox and updating on M-files
- **Uninstalls**:

- Once teams bring equipment back, clear all the Mac addresses and test the equipment for re-use
- Damaged equipment is wrapped up and sent back to the supplier
- ** Spare equipment**:

- Capture on spreadsheet daily to track spares going out
- Track spares coming back in
- Assist the Stock Controller in understanding where the equipment goes etc.
