Country Manager

To be in charge of business activities in the country. As the Country Manager of the local subsidiary, he/she is responsible for turnover and profit of that subsidiary and needs to deliver results to the group. He/she will work for maximizing market penetration and ensure profitable transactions volumes and for the line management of the team.
He/she will also be responsible to comply with the current legislation in particular the one related to anti-money laundering.
**General Management**:
- Prepare and implement the budget, country strategy and the business plan: he/she will develop and manage the implementation of the local strategy, ensuring the platform is created for successful business growth in both short and long term.
- Monitor the P&L and the country operation, delivering on transaction, EBIT and revenue targets. Sets, manages and ensures achievement of local budget in collaboration with line and dotted management. Track and measures the local P&L budget
**Marketing and sales**:
- Support local sales team and join them in the execution of the agent opening campaign throughout the country.
- Compile market general data and trends and develop those potential clients and corridors most extended in the market.
**Compliance**:
- Work along with the Compliance Department, ensuring full business policy and legal compliance with the local financial regulations.
- Together with Compliance Department, he/she liaises with regulatory agencies and other official bodies on issues related to anti money laundering laws and controls, as may be appropriate.
**Controlling and reporting**:
- Approve internal procedures
- Aware permanently about key figures/ratio
- Comment reports sent to Headquarters in weekly/monthly/quarterly basis
**People Management**:
- Lead a diverse team (both multiethnic and from a skill perspective), developing succession and providing direction and guidelines to the members of his/her team.
- Decide on salaries within budget and propose for key functions in collaboration with HR
- Authorize and/or supervise terminations of Management staff in collaboration with HR
- Graduate degree in Business administration or equivalent long standing, successful work experience combined with excellent market knowledge
- Masters Degree would be beneficial
- Plus 7 years of practical sales experience including additional management responsibility
- Familiar with the money transfer and/or foreign exchange business (market situation, corridors, correspondents, exchange rate etc)
- Deep knowledge of the sector, including existing network of contacts
