**Job Overview**:
Unchained Music is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Part-Time Quality Control Expert to oversee the accuracy and consistency of music metadata for user-submitted releases on our platform. This remote role requires great internet access for handling large file types and backup power/internet solutions to manage disruptions like loadshedding. The position is offered for 20 hours per week, with potential for full-time employment and promotion as the company grows.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Review and validate music metadata for new user-submitted releases, ensuring compliance with industry standards and Unchained Music’s quality guidelines.
- Own the resolution process for metadata discrepancies by working directly with artists, labels, and external teams at streaming providers and other partners.
- Monitor updates in metadata standards and ensure compliance with evolving digital service providers’ requirements.
- Report and document errors, track resolutions, and maintain detailed records for quality control purposes.
- Conduct regular audits to proactively identify and rectify potential metadata issues.

**Qualifications**:

- Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- University degree in Music Business, Digital Media, or a related field (preferred but not required with relevant experience).
- Experience in the music industry, particularly in digital distribution or music publishing, is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Reliable internet connection capable of handling significant file sizes and a backup power/internet solution in case of loadshedding.
- Familiarity with music metadata standards (DDEX, ISRC, ISWC) is a plus.
