Network and Security Technical Team Lead

Implement, Manage, Maintain and Administer LexisNexis Network and Security Infrastructure Systems.
- Implement and optimize tools to effectively manage and monitor infrastructure and provide effective alerting and reporting regarding security, network incidents, security, compliance and vulnerability assessments.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement with LexisNexis local and international teams based in the SA, US, UK, France and Asia and external service providers who are locally based.
- Play a leading role in uplifting and cross pollination of skills within the Infrastructure, DevOps and Desktop Teams.

- Direct Reports and Wider Team Structure: Augmented service delivery model with a high focus on external vendor support for this specific role.

- WAN and LAN Network Availability and Scalability Continual Service Improvement Support
- Overall IT Governance Stakeholder and Vendor Management
- IT Security threat/breach identification, prevention, and assistance with remediation
- IT Network and Security Infrastructure administration and maintenance
- Provide IT Network and Security Infrastructure input to technical projects
- Provide input into relevant IT Security Policies, Procedures, Standards, and Guidelines in alignment with ISO27001 and POPI requirements
- Development of Network and Security team skills
- Help Drive and adopt DevSecOps Practices and Standards
- Experience:

- Essential
- 5 years’ Network and Security Appliance and related administration and analysis tools, specifically across the FortiGate, Alienvault, Cisco, Vmware Qualys and Splunk security product line
- 3 years’ System Security vulnerability identification and remediation
- 5 years’ experience implementing and managing a SIEM solution (either in house or hosted service)
- 5 Years DNS and Domain Management
- 5 years’ Network Administration (Switching, Routing and Wireless)
- Ability to automate / script solutions (PowerShell / Python), or implementation of orchestration services.
- 5 years’ Network and Web security protocols
- 5 years’ experience with Forensic and monitoring tools e.g. Wireshark, Fortigate, Alienvault, and various other Opensource Tools etc.
- 5 years’ experience managing Microsoft Windows and Linux based solutions from a Networking and Security Support perspective
- 5 years’ experience in managing a virtualization platform (Vmware) and managing cloud resources (Azure / AWS) from a Networking and Security Perspective
- Nice to have
- 2 years’ experience with public key infrastructure (PKI) and cryptographic protocols e.g. SSL / TLS
- 2 years’ experience in ISO27001 as well as knowledge of local personal information protection legislation (POPI)
- 2 years’ experience in the installation, administration, maintenance and usage of security-hardened Operating Systems e.g. Kali Linux etc
- Certifications:

- 3 Year BCOM or BSC Degree with Specialization in IT or Informatics/IT diploma from a Recognized Tertiary Institute
