**Role Overview**:
**What you will do**:
**Threat Monitoring & Incident Response**
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing forensic analysis when needed.
- Develop and implement incident response plans to minimize risks and downtime.
**Risk Management & Vulnerability Assessment**
- Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans.
- Identify potential security risks and recommend remediation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
**Security Policy & Compliance Management**
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to minimize human-related risks.
- Ensure security measures align with business objectives and regulatory mandates.
**Infrastructure & Endpoint Security**
- Implement and manage security solutions such as firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint protection.
- Configure and maintain security controls for networks, cloud environments, and databases.
**Identity & Access Management (IAM)**
- Manage user access controls and authentication mechanisms (e.g., MFA, SSO).
- Enforce least privilege access principles and conduct regular access reviews.
**Security Automation & Optimization**
- Leverage security automation tools to detect and respond to threats efficiently.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
What you need to have:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) ( Preferred)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Preferred
- GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Preferred
- CompTIA Security+
- AWS/Azure Security Certifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, methodologies, and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, GDPR).
- Experience working with Security Operations Centers (SOC) and SIEM tools.
- Proficiency in security tools (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, Tenable, Nessus).
- Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for security automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical security concepts to non-technical teams.
