Our client is one of the largest privately owned property management companies in London, UK. Despite being established, they are rapidly growing. They manage 11,000 homes in 270 estates and buildings across the UK.

They offer flexible hybrid working and the working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am - 18:00pm or 10:00am - 19:00pm (Depending on daylight savings time).

We are currently looking for someone to work with the UK based senior management team as their **HR / People Manager**. This is a newly created and varied position. It is ideal for someone who possesses knowledge of HR, payroll, and personnel record keeping. This person should be able to motivate people with strong leadership skills, and who also has a knack for spreadsheets.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Use discretion when handling confidential information.
- Keeping track of HR related administration for 30 permanent staff employed in head office, and a further 50 who are site-based, through our HR platform, Citation Atlas.
- Working closely with Senior Management and our Training Manager to both interview and induct new starters.
- A high degree of liaison with both permanent and site-based staff over illness, absence, booking time off, overtime, bonuses and pay increases.
- Woking with a payroll bureau in order ensure that payroll runs smoothly, and that pension contributions and other deductions, as well as bonus and overtime payments, are properly accounted for.
- Management of a small number of key suppliers, and a small car fleet (10 vehicles)
- Management of one direct report, to ensure her own list of responsibilities are effectively discharged
- Organising company social events

**Skills and experience we are looking for**:

- Relevant experience in a SME, working with a substantial sized team
- Strong HR Powers Professional training will be provided on elements of the role which are specific to UK Employment Law (of which there are only several which will be relevant).
- Previous experience managing direct reports.
- Strong system administration skills, and an organised approach.
- Good communication skills.
- A proactive, can-do, attitude, and a flexible mindset.
- Some form of relevant academic or professional qualification (such as CIPD) would be favourable.
