**The role**:
To ensure that opportunities to recover funds from third party organisations are optimised. The role will involve the identification of recovery potential within claims and medical assistance cases, usually identified at the outset of the claim, and then the processing of the recovery to an outcome. The role will need to learn and respect the local and international laws and conventions relative to recovery processing, but also have a an instinct and ability to challenge third party organisations in order to ensure the success of recoveries for Collinson.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To review claim files and assistance records for recovery opportunities.
- To log projected recoveries on system and ensure data is accurate and up to date.
- To obtain all relevant information to progress recoveries.
- To secure all documentation require to progress recoveries
- To develop knowledge base and seek to improve procedures
- To submit potential third party recoveries to our recovery agents and liaise as required until completion
- To manage the relationships with external contacts including the Pension Service and key Insurance companies
- To accurately handle all calls ensuring all relevant information is collected and recorded correctly
- To use the in-house claims management system to input, maintain and administer all elements of the recoveries process
- To review all foreign medical supplier payments for payment accuracy and recovery or cost reduction opportunity
- Ensure compliance with and understand the importance of FSA regulatory requirements in order to correctly explain subrogated rights and relevant product initiations
- To demonstrate competence in handling general insurance related activities

**Regulatory Responsibilities**:
Adhere to the FCA’s Conduct rules and the Firm’s code of conduct

Undertake all regulatory training as prescribed by the company and comply with all policies relevant to your role

Immediately report any known conflicts of interest in line with company policy

Satisfy on an ongoing basis the company’s fit and proper requirements which as a minimum shall take account of your:
Honesty, integrity and reputation

Competence and capability; and Financial soundness

**Knowledge and Experience Needed**:
An ability to learn is essential. An eye for detail is key. A good communicator, both written and verbal communication techniques will be needed. Someone who is target driven. A person who can work within a high volume production environment, to a high degree of accuract.
