Duties/Pligte- Supporting and assisting the Principal Technical Officer.- Assisting in various undergraduate courses, particularly with the preparation of undergraduate practicals and the housekeeping (cleaning) of laboratories.- Supporting academic staff and undergraduate students.- Maintaining and cleaning laboratories, instruments and glassware.- Controlling and managing laboratory apparatus, chemical waste and chemical stores.- Responsible for and assisting with laboratory safety.- Performing routine safety inspections and replacing consumables for students in the laboratories.- Assisting the Principal Technical Officer with ad hoc admistrative work.Bied ondersteuning en bystand aan die Hoof Tegniese Beampte.- Hulpverlening met verskeie voorgraadse kursusse, spesifiek met die voorbereiding van voorgraadse praktika en skoonmaak van die laboratoriums.- Bied ondesteuning aan akademiese personeel en voorgraadse studente.- Skoonmaak en instandhouding van laboratoriums, intrumentasie en glasware.- Kontrolleer en beheer van laboratoriumapparaat, chemiese afval en chemiese store.- Verantwoordelik vir en hulpverlening met laboratoriumveiligheid.- Onderneming van roetine-veiligheidsinspeksies en die vervanging van verbruikbare materiaal vir studente in die laboratorium.- Hulpverlening aan die Hoof Tegniese Beampte met ad hoc-administratiewe take

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes- Matric certificate or an equivalent technical qualification.- At least two years' practical work experience gained within a comparable laboratory environment.- Knowledge of analytical equipment and management of general chemicals.Matrieksertifikaat of 'n gelykwaardige tegniese kwalifikasie.- Minstens twee jaar se praktiese werkservaring in 'n soortgelyke laboratoriumomgewing.- Kennis van analitiese toerusting en die hantering van algemene chemikalieë.
